6.7.2011 - PRESIDENTS WIFE MRS MIALY RAJOELINA JOINED IN ON THE OPENING OF MWL-FINANCED SCHOOL.
The 1st lady, together with MWL General Director Øystein Hansen and our MWL crew, officially opened the newly built school 28th of June in Antsirasira, Mampikony. Also present were several other official guests, and off course hundreds of local villagers to celebrate. After a quick tour at our Mampikony office, Mrs Rajoelina was presented our plant fields, one of the nurseries and finally the school we built this winter. Both MWL and Rajoelina concluded that we will work together to continue the good progress for our different projects in Madagascar.
The images show Mrs Mialy Rajoelina visiting MWL office, then the plant fields where she is given a brief introduction to different tree species by our technician Mamy. Next we visit one of our modern nurseries with sprinkler system, where Mrs Rajoelina plants a handful of seeds assisted by technician Mamy. Finally we move on to the new school in Antsirasira for speeches and official opening. Mrs Rajoelinas´ organization Fitia donated equipment for the new students, handed out by Mrs Rajoelina herself in one of the schools´ classrooms. Mrs Rajoelina stated that she and the government are very satisifed with the MWL efforts in Mampikony, both with regards to the plant projects and the CDPs, and looks forward to a future good relationship.
